Everybody loves Mozzarella. Learn to make this melty classic and some of her stretched curd relatives from Chef, Cheese making Instructor, and cookbook Author, Mary Karlin. Mary will share tips from her new book, Artisan Cheese Making at Home coming out summer of 2011. Students will taste sample cheeses that have been made ahead. You will learn valuable information about plants, gardens, and food systems, as well as why supporting local farms is so important. You will also be able to field-test various seasonal crops as you traverse a portion of the 68-acre property. Price includes gratuity. This is a working farm, so please remember that there can be inclement weather. Bring sunscreen, a sweater, wear long pants, and closed toe shoes only please.
